Job Summary
Educational Assistant (SpEd) for the Digital Arts & Technology Academy supports students in grades 7-12 under the Special Education Coordinator. Responsibilities include reinforcing material with small groups, applying behavior redirection aligned with restorative practices, monitoring student activities across the school environment, implementing and supporting IEP goals, maintaining classroom records and data in the district system, participating in teacher-parent conferences, and assisting with/reporting on student progress. The role emphasizes effective communication, collaboration with teachers and families, confidentiality, and supporting positive educational outcomes within a team-based school setting.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid State Department of Education Educational Assistant licensure
- 48 college credit hours OR Pass the Paraprofessional Test
- 18 years of age or older
- Experience with or knowledge of IEPs and special education targeted supports (preferred)
- Substitute licensure is a plus
Desired Qualifications

- At least 18 years of age
- Experience with Special Education and IEPs (preferred)
