Educational Assistant - Special Education Tier 2

Assist teachers and professionals with preparation and delivery of instructional material, one-on-one and small group activities, and student transfers. Provide direct care for special education students, including feeding, cleaning, diapering, toileting, feminine hygiene, clothing changes, catheter equipment management, wheelchair transport, and other daily living activities. Monitor and manage the school workroom, assist in implementing individual student goals, and re-direct disruptive or combative students. Supervise students in the playground, cafeteria, restrooms, and hallways while performing assigned substitute duties. Participate in staff meetings and in-service training as required. Comply with state-approved ethical responsibility codes and uphold district policies and regulations. Perform clerical duties for teachers and complete application requirements including transcripts or high school diploma verification.
