Job Summary
Assist teachers and professionals with instructional material preparation and delivery while supporting one-on-one and small group activities. Provide direct care for students with special needs, including feeding, cleaning, diapering, toileting, and transferring between wheelchairs. Manage student behavior and supervise students in hallways, cafeterias, and playgrounds. Perform clerical duties, monitor the school workroom, and execute substitute assignments as directed. Comply with state ethical codes and district policies throughout the 190-day contract.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Hold or be able to obtain a New Mexico Public Education Department Level 3 K-12 Educational Assistant License
- Hold or be able to obtain a New Mexico Public Education Department Substitute License
- Show transcripts from a credentialing college or university
- Pass a paraprofessional exam administered by RRPS
