Job Summary
Educational Assistant/Substitute for the 2026-2027 school year at Puesta del Sol Elementary (RRPS). 190-day contract. Primary duties include assisting teachers and professionals with preparation and delivery of instructional materials; providing one-on-one and small group support; assisting in transferring students; caring for student needs (may include feeding, diapering, catheter equipment, toileting, feminine hygiene, clothing changes, wheelchairs, transfers); helping implement goals/objectives, re-direction of disruptive students; supervising students in playground, cafeteria, restrooms, and hallways; performing clerical tasks and substitute duties; and adhering to ethical responsibilities and district policies. Requires Level 3 License and Substitute License (or the ability to obtain) and a high school diploma/equivalent. Work hours per district and CBA guidelines. Location: Rio Rancho, New Mexico (US).
Required Qualifications
- Must hold or be able to obtain a New Mexico Public Education Department Level 3 K-12 Educational Assistant License
- Must hold or be able to obtain a New Mexico Public Education Department Substitute License
- High school diploma or equivalent
