Job Summary
Educational Assistant needed to support students with intensive needs in CARE Connections classrooms. Responsibilities include assisting with regulation, communication (including AAC), sensory and self-regulation, and hands-on, experiential learning; delivering individualized, interest-based support to promote meaningful participation in classroom, school, and faith-based activities; and assisting with personal care as required.
Required Qualifications
- Training beyond Grade 12 related to supporting intensive needs students at the elementary school level
- Commitment to ideals and principles of Catholic education
- Successful related experience supporting students in developing regulation, communication and social-emotional skills
- Demonstrated skill in previous job assignments providing individualized interest-based support to promote meaningful participation in the the classroom
- Ability to support personal care needs as required
