Job Summary
Educational Assistant role at Grapevine Middle School supporting Emergent Bilingual students and collaborating with classroom teachers. Responsibilities include preparing small group or individual lessons for Emergent bilingual students, providing feedback on progress, helping maintain an orderly classroom, supervising students throughout the school day, and participating in staff development and department meetings. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 48+ college credits or an associate degree or higher, fluency in Spanish, and an Education Aide Certificate (may be pursued after hire); ESL certification and prior educational experience are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 48+ college credit, Associate's degree or higher, or an approved state/local academic assessment
- Fluent in the Spanish language, and ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form
- Certification in ESL and previous experience in an educational environment preferred
- Education Aide Certificate is required, but may be applied for once employed
