Job Summary
Support children ages 3–5 attending virtual speech sessions and assist with hands-on activities to develop communication, social interaction, self-regulation, and cognition skills. Provide supervision, instruction, and personal care for students behind in development, including lifting, positioning, and assistance with feeding and bathroom needs. Work under licensed teachers to help students achieve Individual Education Plan (IEP) goals while recording data to monitor progress. Schedule includes full days on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays with opportunities to sub on other days. Requires P.C.A. certification and a high school diploma; additional child development coursework is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Obtain Highly Qualified status
- Must be P.C.A. (Personal Care Assistant) certified
Desired Qualifications
- Have a desire to work in a preschool setting with students with learning/behavior challenges
- Additional coursework in child development
- Experience in working with children
