Job Summary
Tutor and support students across all academic areas while administering make-up tests and monitoring progress to keep accurate records. Confer regularly with supervising teachers and perform various duties as assigned to empower students to reach their full potential. Adapt to daily changes in task schedules and provide resourceful accommodations for diverse learning needs. Work Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 8AM to 3PM at St. Mary Elementary School as part of the Bishop O'Gorman Catholic Schools system, which promotes a community of faith and learning through Gospel values and academic excellence.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- Works well with children
- Knowledge and comfort level verbal and math skills up through middle school
- Basic competency in computer skills
- Resourceful & creative to proved adaptations for students
- Self-starter
- High energy
- Ability to adjust to daily changes in task schedule
- Adapts well to a variety of tasks
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Problem-solving and decision making ability
- Team player
Desired Qualifications
- Some post higher training in education preferred
