Job Summary
Educational Aide for English Language Learners assists second-language learners in developing English across speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Presents instructional programs under supervision, adapts activities to meet ELL needs, tutors students, reinforces learning concepts, assesses student needs and progress, maintains a healthy learning environment, participates in planning meetings, performs clerical duties, and engages in staff development. Requires strong English communication, understanding of cultural/language diversity, and an Ohio Educational Aide certificate or approved equivalent; typically a full-time role based in West Jefferson, Ohio.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Appropriate State of Ohio Educational Aide certificate
- Associate's Degree preferred
- Such alternatives to the above as deemed appropriate by the Superintendent.
