Job Summary
Education Therapist for Grades 1-5 providing one-on-one reading, math, and executive function intervention. Utilize evidence-based instruction, assess student needs, develop personalized learning plans, monitor progress, and adjust instruction. Collaborate with parents and educators to communicate progress and strategies. Create a positive, motivating learning environment to help reach reading goals. Flexible hours including after-school and weekend sessions. Locations include Saint Paul and Minneapolis, MN with in-person engagement; contract (1099) arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Speech Language Pathology, or closely related discipline
- Certification as a Reading Specialist or SPED Teacher
- Experience working with neurodivergent learning populations
- Strong understanding of intervention strategies and evidence-based practices
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to build rapport and encourage students to enhance reading skills
- Availability to work flexible hours, including after-school and weekend sessions
