Job Summary
Education Steward (AmeriCorps Half-Time) supports hands-on Farm-to-School learning during ELO sessions at K–8 schools in Grand Rapids Public Schools. Responsibilities include leading lessons in pairs, preparing materials, facilitating activities, expanding Sack Supper distribution, recruiting and training volunteers, and enhancing food access and community engagement through nonprofit partnerships. The role offers a 900-hour service term (approximately 20 hours weekly), a $16,200 annual living allowance, a Segal Education Award on completion, and AmeriCorps benefits. Candidates should be 18+, a U.S. citizen/national/LSR, and have a high school diploma or GED (associate degree preferred).
