Education Specialist Teacher (Special Education Teacher Mild/Moderate)

Assess student needs and develop, implement, and supervise Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with classroom teachers and parents. Provide instruction and support to students with mild to moderate disabilities within general education settings while designing accommodations and scaffolding activities. Support general education teachers by developing related goals, planning strategies, and implementing Project-based Learning techniques. Identify social, emotional, and behavioral needs, facilitate group work, and foster growth through Student-led Conferences and Presentations of Learning. Create authentic learning experiences using backward design to align lessons and assessments, measuring progress via formal and informal evaluations. Communicate effectively with families and staff regarding services and accommodations.
