Job Summary
Education Specialist/Project Mentor III leads TSR program activities in collaboration with CLI staff, supervising staff, contractual team members, and volunteers; develops and revises policies and procedures; manages budget development, forecasting, and reporting; coordinates meetings and subcommittees; provides program coaching for implementation of TSR strategies (side-by-side coaching, co-teaching, instructional planning, reflective feedback); travels as needed to deliver coaching and training and to attend meetings in alignment with trauma-informed care and social determinants of health principles; works with the Children’s Learning Center at UTHealth Houston to ensure TSR fidelity; requires the ability to communicate clearly, collaborate across teams, and oversee program delivery and compliance with regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, or related field
- Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Three years’ experience training or coaching adults
- Three years’ experience teaching preschool children
- Experience using pre-kindergarten literacy/language/numeracy/science materials and instructional strategies
- Understanding of Texas Pre-kindergarten Guidelines, Head Start Child Outcomes, and Child Care Licensing Standards
- Experience working with varied groups to integrate early childhood services
- Working knowledge of technology (Internet, Microsoft Word, Excel, videotaping, uploading)
- Fluent in English and Spanish desirable
- Proof of vaccination status or eligibility for exemption (religious/medical)
