EDUCATION SPECIALIST/PROJECT MENTOR III TEXAS SCHOOL READY COACH

Job Summary
Provide consultation, education, and training for prekindergarten school readiness implementation through side-by-side coaching, co-teaching, instructional planning, and reflective feedback. Collaborate with Children's Learning Center staff at University of Texas Health Science Center Houston to ensure project fidelity while traveling as necessary for coaching, training, and meetings. Demonstrate expertise in healthcare and human services environments with a trauma-informed lens to address social determinants of health and community needs. Maintain professional ethics and social accountability while supporting the organization's priorities and community stewardship. Requires a Bachelor's or preferred Master's in Early Childhood Education, three years of adult training/coaching experience, and three years teaching preschool children, along with a Texas vehicle operator's license and liability insurance proof.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, or related field
- Three years' experience training or coaching adults
- Three years' experience teaching preschool children
- Certificate or license, as applicable, by the appropriate State agency as a qualified practitioner
- State of Texas vehicle operator's license
- Proof of liability insurance
- Ability to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk and hear, and taste or smell
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Close vision
- Color vision
- Depth perception
- Ability to adjust your focus with good hand-eye coordination
