Education Specialist - Inpatient Case Management

Support the orientation and ongoing preceptorship of all new staff, managers, residents, medical staff, and physician advisors. Coordinate educational classes covering medical necessity, technology, and in-services to maintain case management certification and stay current on care coordination initiatives. Follow up on the development and revisions of relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and job aids. This full-time, permanent role requires an RN with a Bachelor's degree, three years of acute care experience, one year of training experience, three years in case management, and one year as an educator. The position involves a split schedule of 2–4 days at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital and 1–2 days at Sentara Park 1330 in Virginia Beach.
