Job Summary
Monitor Family Child Care Home environments for compliance with California Department of Education regulations and Licensing Regulations. Conduct on-site health and safety monitoring visits, including opening and closing hour checks, and observe children using the Desire Results Developmental Profile and Environment Rating Scale assessments. Develop accurate child and provider records, prepare monthly status reports detailing deficiencies and actions taken, and conduct trainings for providers and parents regarding children's growth and development. Interface with community resources to exchange information and ensure nutritional programs comply with state standards. Submit reports to enhance program effectiveness and travel to outlying areas as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Teacher Permit from Commission of Teaching Credential
- Knowledge of FCCERS and DRDP
- Minimum of 3 years of Early Childhood Education Experience
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
- Ability to drive and travel
- Must possess a minimum of an Associate Teacher Permit from Commission of Teaching Credential
- Must have knowledge of FCCERS and DRDP
- Must develop and maintain accurate child and provider records as required by the contract
- Must interface with other childcare resources (Resources & Referral, Alternative Payment Programs, other Social Service agencies in the community) to acquire and exchange information
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Ability to use computer, tablet, iPad, telephone, type, and answer/relay messages
- Ability to drive and travel
