Job Summary
The Education Specialist in the Emergency Department is responsible for developing and coordinating orientation programs for newly appointed nursing staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and BNBMC policies. This role involves assessing educational needs, planning in-services, conducting training programs, and teaching ongoing nursing education classes. The specialist must demonstrate clinical expertise, maintain educational records, and create departmental policies as necessary. A strong focus on customer service, collaboration with Nursing Administration, and adherence to safety standards are essential. This position requires a BSN and a Master's degree in Nursing or related field, along with current NJ RN licensure and multiple certifications in life support.
Required Qualifications
- Current NJ licensure as RN required
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support Instructor certification required
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required
- American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification required
- Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience
- Speaks, reads and writes English to the extent required by the positions.
Desired Qualifications
