Job Summary
Mentor childcare center staff through ongoing professional development, implementing coaching using innovative technological approaches and various teaching methodologies. Build cooperative relationships with center leaders while utilizing evaluation tools to assist providers with programmatic improvements and identify professional development needs. Guide centers in selecting materials and equipment, participate in staff meetings and interdepartmental activities, and collaborate with partner organizations to deliver services. Document statistical data accurately, submit reports, and meet regularly with supervisors for updates and information sharing. Maintain a caseload and work occasional evening and weekend hours. Requires bilingual English/Spanish proficiency, a valid Texas driver's license, and a bachelor's degree in a related field.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Proof of current auto insurance
- Fully vaccinated as defined by the CDC against COVID-19
- Passes an agency-administered comprehensive background check satisfactorily
- Access to reliable transportation to travel throughout the metroplex
- Ability to work occasional evening and weekend hours
- Minimum of two years of employment in an early childhood, mentoring, or education role
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Experience as a Childcare Director or Assistant Director
- Knowledge of national accreditation processes
