Job Summary

Monitor and evaluate NOAA's education programs, including the F. Hollings Undergraduate Ernest Scholarship and Educational Partnership Program with Minority Serving Institutions. Provide expert advice on evaluation methodologies to educators, program managers, and leadership while ensuring compliance with federal requirements. Inform evaluation efforts through best practices and latest advancements in the field. Apply quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques to portfolio analysis of grants, professional development, and outreach programs. This role supports the Global Sciences and Technology business unit within the Government Technology Solutions Center.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Education Evaluation or a related degree
  • 2-4 years of experience in conducting evaluations of education programs
  • experience in planning and implementing evaluation systems for large organizations or agencies
  • experience with the development of logic models for education programming
  • Experience with portfolio analysis of diverse education program offerings including grants, educator professional development and training, and educational outreach programs
  • implementing best practices in evaluation of formal and informal science education
  • design and implementation of various evaluation methodologies and survey techniques in formal and informal science education settings
  • Strong knowledge of quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods and analysis techniques
