Job Summary
Support the day-to-day implementation of PlayMatters 3.0 activities in South Sudan, ensuring alignment with workplans, timelines, and quality standards. Coordinate and schedule initiatives with County/Payam education authorities, schools, and community structures, while assisting in organizing teacher training, mentorship sessions, and continuous professional development. Provide on-site coaching to teachers and school leaders, track implementation progress against plans, and conduct After-Action Reviews to document lessons learned. Monitor the application of Learning through Play approaches in classrooms, collect and verify data for RMEAL systems, and submit accurate reports to line managers. Maintain organized project files, follow up on payment requests, and ensure compliance with IRC policies and donor requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Degree from an accredited university in Education, Teacher Education, Social Science, or other relevant field of study
- A minimum of 2-3 years' relevant experience in education programming preferably in humanitarian or development contexts
- Experience supporting teacher training, continuous professional development (CPD), or school-based education activities
- Basic understanding of education systems in South Sudan, including roles of County/Payam education structures and coordination mechanisms
- Demonstrated ability to work with communities, teachers, and local stakeholders in diverse and resource-constrained settings
- Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with different audiences
- Fluency in English and location local language
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently to field locations
