Job Summary
Education Manager responsible for coordinating and supervising the Educational Services Program for Head Start/Early Head Start providers, updating and maintaining curriculum, coaching in language and literacy, coordinating parent/staff conferences, ensuring home visits, and supporting staff development. Oversees training, coordination with Family Services and Health & Mental Health components, ensures compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and licensing, conducts staff evaluations, and partners with community resources to support families.
Required Qualifications
- BA in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Two years teaching experience
- Supervisory experience
- Knowledge and experience in Head Start or comparable programs
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with organizational skills
- Knowledge of Head Start/Early Head Start Performance Standards and Licensing Regulations
- Ability to coordinate and conduct training sessions (preferred)
- Multicultural experience (preferred)
- Administrative background (preferred)
- Knowledge of risk/protective factors model and substance abuse prevention (preferred)
- Desire to work with low-income children and their families
