Job Summary
Ensure effective implementation of high-quality educational services and disability supports in alignment with Early Head Start program standards. Provide ongoing coaching, technical assistance, and professional development to teaching and home-based staff on developmentally appropriate practices. Collaborate with families, early intervention providers, and community partners to facilitate referrals, evaluations, and Individualized Family Service Plans. Review lesson plans, observe home visits, and assist Family Childcare Providers in interpreting assessments and establishing individual child plans. Participate in team meetings, schedule meetings for children with developmental concerns, and attend parent conferences and IEO/IFSP meetings as needed. Monitor education work plans and ensure children receive educational screenings within 45 days of enrollment. This role supports the developmental and social growth of infants and toddlers within Rising Ground's 101 programs across New York City and Westchester.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, with minor in Special Education
- 2-3 years supervisory experience
- 3-5 years early childhood education classroom teaching experience
- Thorough knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP)
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to work in-person in New York City (NYC)
- Ability to travel to other Rising Ground Sites (if required)
- Ability to travel within the community and do visits
