Job Summary
Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum while conducting regular classroom observations to provide coaching and feedback to teaching staff. Mentor Lead Teachers and Assistant Teachers through ongoing professional development, monitor child assessments, and ensure all educational practices meet NYC DOHMH and NY State OCFS licensing requirements. Build strong relationships with families by supporting conferences and classroom communication, while collaborating with the Center Director to promote enrollment growth. Maintain accurate staff training records and foster a collaborative culture focused on educational excellence. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, New York State Teacher Certification, and minimum three years of leadership experience in an early childhood setting.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet all New York City Education Director qualification requirements under applicable DOHMH and/or OCFS licensing regulations
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in an early childhood education setting
- Thorough knowledge of New York City and New York State childcare licensing regulations
Desired Qualifications
- New York State Teacher Certification (Birth–Grade 2 or equivalent)
