Job Summary
Lead and develop environmental education programs as Education Coordinator at NatureBridge Sausalito campus; responsibilities include designing training materials, mentoring staff, curriculum refinement focusing on science, equity, stewardship and social-emotional learning, maintaining gear, supporting daily program operations, standing by for emergencies, and collaborating with Education and Camp teams to ensure high-quality experiences for participants.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 2+ years related summer camp or experiential education experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current Wilderness First Aid (or higher) and CPR certification
- EpiPen certification or willingness to obtain
- ServSafe or willingness to obtain
- Tuberculosis (TB) clearance
- Valid driver's license
- Experience supervising staff and mentoring
- Experience working with children ages 4-16 and managing complex group dynamics
- Ability to assess and manage physical and emotional risk in outdoor settings; administer first aid as required
- Training or experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion practices
- Proficiency with Google Suite and database software
- Knowledge of NatureBridge Golden Gate campus and procedures
- Background check completion (required for all employees)
- Strong time management, organizational, and customer service skills
- Experience leading or developing environmental education curriculum
