Job Summary
Education Coordinator responsible for developing and supporting work readiness programs for youth (14-24), including creating and implementing a 6-week curriculum, developing internships and job-shadowing experiences, and ensuring DYCD guideline compliance. Responsibilities include coordinating with teammates, maintaining attendance, hosting instructional sessions via Zoom/Google Classroom (25-50 youth per session), mentoring youth, assigning and reviewing independent work, and performing additional duties as assigned. Requires experience in youth development/work readiness, curriculum development, lesson planning, strong instructional delivery, and effective communication; associate degree required with bachelor’s preferred.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years’ experience in the youth development field and/or work readiness
- Associate degree required, bachelor’s preferred
- Knowledge and experience with work readiness curriculum preferred
- Experience or knowledge working with ZOOM and Google Classroom
- Must have experience in lesson planning, curriculum development, and implementation of structured programming for high school students
- Must possess effective instructional delivery techniques and excellent communication skills
- Must have a commitment to work from a strength-based and/or youth development perspective
