Job Summary
Monitor classrooms and centers using internal and prescribed external monitoring tools to collect, aggregate, and analyze data for compliance and improvement plans. Provide technical assistance to Teachers and Center Directors regarding Head Start Performance Standards, California Department of Education, and Community Care Licensing regulations. Participate in regular education monitoring, analysis, and program improvement plans while supporting the implementation of the Creative Curriculum. Collaborate with Education Coaches to help create stimulating learning environments and ensure Health and Safety requirements are met. Monitor classroom materials, equipment, and facilities to ensure safety, performing or requesting maintenance as needed. Support the Education team by providing data and reporting as requested, and participate in meetings, classes, and trainings as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- AA Degree or above in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related field with appropriate ECE coursework
- Experience working with children and families of diverse cultural backgrounds
- Pre-employment physical examination and TB clearance
- Live Scan fingerprint and criminal record clearance
- Must be able to communicate in English with proficiency
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and other computer programs
- Sufficient strength, agility and mobility to perform essential functions and to supervise program activities in a wide variety of indoor and outdoor locations
- Must be able to work on a computer for an extended period of time
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust
- Must be able to travel locally for meetings, training and special events
