Job Summary
On-site coaching for education staff using the Practice Based Coaching (PBC) Model in accordance with Head Start standards; implement PBC to support effective teaching and caregiving practices; conduct observations, collaborative goal setting, action planning, and reflection/feedback cycles; use data from observations, assessments, staff needs assessments, and program monitoring to inform coaching strategies and document progress; maintain accurate documentation of coaching activities; apply knowledge of curriculum, assessment tools, and child outcome data to support teacher growth; utilize the CLASS tool and observation data to support development; identify and provide PBC resources, professional development materials, and evidence-based strategies for individualized teacher practices and continuous improvement; may travel within Rhode Island as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Rhode Island Early Childhood Teaching Certification or related field
- Highly organized
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to work well in a team
- Effective professional communication skills to promote collaboration with staff
- Ability to establish and maintain confidential relationships with staff
- Understanding and respect for diverse experiences of staff
