Job Summary
Deliver and facilitate educational webinars and workshops for youth, parents, and professionals, while planning and chairing meetings with youth groups and service providers. Establish relationships with school boards and community organizations to implement outreach strategies that meet monthly targets and increase program reach. Develop advisory committees and design youth engagement activities, maintaining accurate records and providing monthly reports on outcomes. Create content supporting the program's online strategy and attend community events to promote awareness. Carry out brokerage functions to ensure youth access to services, adhering to evidence-based standards and the Stages of Change model. Work flexible hours, travel, and accommodate overnight stays as required.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Social Sciences, Public Health, Education, Business, Communication, Marketing, or other related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience with outreach activities and strategies
- Criminal reference check
- Ability to work flexible hours, travel, and overnight stays

- Focus on the health, safety and wellbeing of all children, youth, and vulnerable people in YMCA programs including understanding legal and moral obligations related to reporting suspected child abuse to Child Protection Services

Desired Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in facilitation
- Experience in the delivery of public health, prevention, and awareness initiatives
- Experience in working with youth, sensitivity, and knowledge in dealing with youth from different cultural and racial backgrounds and youth with special needs
- Experience in online communications, social media or interactive engagement, and working with online presentation/meeting platforms
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to draft and design clear and compelling communications
- Ability to work in an efficient manner with a high degree of independence
- Knowledge of harm reduction principles
- Understanding of principles of learning for both youth and adults
- Knowledge of the community resources in the province of practice
- Knowledge of Ministry of Education's curriculum
- Access to a car
- Excellent understanding of diversity, inclusion, and equity, including the ability to identify and address barriers, work effectively with diverse stakeholders, and integrate equity into program design
