Job Summary
Hartwick College is seeking qualified instructors to join an Education Adjunct Pool as Student Teaching Supervisors. Responsibilities include supporting and evaluating teacher candidates during field placements through six formal observations per student teacher each semester, maintaining communication with cooperating teachers and college faculty, and submitting required evaluation documentation in a timely manner. The role requires a master’s degree in Education (or closely related field) and a minimum of 10 years of teaching and/or school-based leadership experience. Supervisors must be available during regular public-school hours (typically 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., Monday–Friday) and conduct all supervision face-to-face in local school settings; remote applications are not considered. Supervisors are responsible for their own transportation. This adjunct pool will be used on an as-needed basis for up to two years. Compensation is per student supervised ($900 per student supervised + mileage). Location noted: Oneonta, NY.
