Job Summary
Monitor the well-being and safety of children while planning, preparing, and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum. Contribute to sales and retention through positive communication with families. Train and mentor other employees within the department while working in a team environment. This role supports the NEST therapeutic program, a healing-focused initiative grounded in Dakota values and cultural wellness that prioritizes social-emotional learning and honoring each child's unique needs. Staff partners with families to help children learn, grow, and thrive within this early childhood education center.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must meet qualification and experience requirements from the MN Rule 3 guidelines for Teacher category
- Three or more years of experience in an early childhood educational program
- Leadership skills
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Pass background check
- Work physical
- Drug test
- Valid Class D driver's license
- Good driving record
- Ability to move in a variety of motions including bending, squatting, crawling, kneeling, twisting, pulling, and/ or pushing
- Capacity to handle and lift up to 50 lbs
- Physical abilities to perform the required job duties with or without accommodations, including on feet 80% of time
