Job Summary
Deliver the curriculum and contribute to whole school initiatives within ASN specialist provisions or mainstream secondary sectors across South Lanarkshire. Support pupils with additional support needs in supported classes and ASN bases while adhering to the duties outlined in the Teaching Profession for the 21st Century. Work alongside parents, support staff, and professionals to provide an exceptional learning environment, utilizing the local authority's professional learning offer and opportunities for funded post-graduate study. Join a team leading strategic improvements to education provision for learners with additional support needs.
Required Qualifications
- GTC Registration
- Registration with GTC Scotland
- General Teaching Council (Scotland) Registration
- No bar from working with children and/or adults
- No history of or pending criminal record proceedings
- PVG Scheme registration or PVG Scheme Update check
- Overseas Criminal Records Check (if applicable)
- Evidence of Overseas Criminal Records Check
- Official statement confirming no criminal record from the check
- Translation of Overseas Criminal Records Check into English
- 35 hours per week availability
- Location in South Lanarkshire ASN bases
- Main grade Teacher scale salary acceptance (£43,383 - £54,453 per year)
