Job Summary
Edu-Venturers deliver instruction and manage engagement through various educational programming within the Education Department at the Zoo. Responsibilities include content creation for classes, tours, and seasonal events, while ensuring a safe and entertaining environment for participants. The role requires tracking participant data, managing classroom organization, and communicating effectively with team members. Candidates should have a background in relevant fields and possess strong public speaking and teamwork skills. The position requires availability for evening and weekend work and may involve physical activities such as leading tours and managing events.
Required Qualifications
- Current enrollment or graduation in/from certification or degreed program in Education, Biology, Environmental or Natural Sciences, Theatre, Recreation, or related field
- 2 years of relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job
- 21 years or older
- Valid driver's license
- Proof of current automobile insurance
- Clear driving record
- Clear background check
- Clear drug screening
