Job Summary
Develop and execute an after-school program that aligns with district strategic goals, initiating, coordinating, and evaluating new curricula while maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Lead daily activities and supervise all staff and students, ensuring safety and a welcoming environment for children, parents, and teachers. Act as program lead in the Site Supervisor's absence, complete safety drills, and manage monthly activity and snack calendars within budget constraints. Maintain regular communication with the Site Supervisor and host school staff, reporting incidents and upholding confidentiality. Participate in ongoing training, staff meetings, and required continuing education workshops.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or will be working toward completion with 15 credits in education and/or related subjects
- Minimum of three years experience related to school age programming
- Leadership skills
- The ability to prioritize work with minimal supervision
- Demonstrates experience with independent, as well as ongoing projects and tasks in a timely manner
- Ability to successfully uphold the district's vision and mission statement
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude as a role model and team member
- Proficiency in computer applications pertinent to support the position, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, Genesis Employee Portal, and Student Information System
- Ability to move safely about the program space
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods
- Ability to bend and lift up to 20 pounds at a time
- Ability to operate a computer and/or other office machinery
- Ability to securely file confidential documents
- Ability to communicate verbally, and in writing via technology devices or handwritten correspondence
- Reside in the State of New Jersey
