Job Summary
Diagnose, repair, and maintain customer and dealer-owned lawn and garden equipment using special tools and technical manuals. Perform small engine repairs, manage inventory and tools, and prepare required reports and forms. Maintain current product knowledge of John Deere and competitive brands while adhering to safety protocols. Operate diagnostic vehicles and equipment, use computer applications for service records, and participate in ongoing training. Requires one year of service repair experience, preferably as a small engine technician, plus a valid driver's license and high school diploma.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience performing service repairs
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- Valid drivers license
- Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of turf equipment
- Ability to use Service Advisor, Microsoft Office applications, and basic computer functions
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ Years experience as a Small Engine Mechanic or Small Engine Technician preferred
