Job Summary
Program wire and sinker EDM machines to manufacture precision components to tight tolerances. Set up machines, including workholding, electrodes, and tooling, while reading blueprints, CAD models, and technical drawings. Select appropriate machine settings and monitor operations to maintain quality standards. Troubleshoot machine issues and improve processes, while assisting with quoting new jobs. Requires 2+ years of EDM experience, proficiency with Mastercam and SolidWorks, and strong attention to detail. Competitive salary of $35–$40/hour with full benefits. Located in East Hartford within an AS9100 and ISO 9001:2015 certified precision job shop serving automotive, medical, and defense sectors.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of EDM programming and operating experience
- Proficiency with Mastercam and SolidWorks
- Knowledge of tooling, electrode design, materials, and fixture design
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- High level of attention to detail
