Job Summary
As an EDM Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, troubleshooting, and operating wire EDMs according to strict tolerances. This role involves working closely with customer manufacturing specifications to ensure accurate machine programming, examining and measuring completed units to identify defects, and adjusting machine controls to resolve production errors. Strong problem-solving abilities are essential for inspecting and repairing machinery. Preferred candidates will have over 2 years of experience with automated tools, a strong skill set in measuring equipment, and expertise in interpreting technical blueprints.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines
- Ability to proficiently set up and use measuring equipment including CMM, CAD-CAM, Micrometers, Height Gauges, Calipers, Profilometers
- Expert in reading and interpreting blueprints and design sketches
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to create and maintain updated work processes related to machining
- Familiar with warehouse, manufacturing, or production planning environments
