Job Summary
EDM Field Applications Technician trains and assists customers in operating Mitsubishi EDM/Sinker machines, performs installations and alignments, provides on-site and classroom technical support, troubleshoots process issues, and develops training materials. Responsibilities include setting up and programming machines, testing system software, preparing training exercises and manuals, delivering technical training, and documenting service reports. Requires strong machining knowledge, ability to use hand-tools, Windows proficiency, and a valid driver's license; travel to customer sites is expected, with indoor work hosting a variety of environmental conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Associates or technical degree preferred
- 3 years of set up and operation of S/EDM machines in a shop environment
- Familiarity with mechanical/electrical equipment repair and testing devices
- CAD/CAM experience such as MasterCam, AutoCAD, and ESPIRIT
- Valid Driver's License
