Job Summary
Coordinate editorial production schedules and deadlines across print, digital, newsletters, and special projects while tracking workflow between editorial, design, advertising, marketing, events, production, and other departments. Prepare agendas, materials, and follow-up notes for weekly meetings, maintain project management tools, and follow up on assignments to keep projects on schedule. Prepare layouts and proofs for review, track revisions, and assist with photography and videography production. Proofread content across all formats, fact-check recurring packages, and write event recaps and calendar listings. Work full-time in downtown Palm Springs with a salary of $24.04 - $26.44 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, English, publishing, media studies, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of AP style and strong proofreading skills

Desired Qualifications
- Experience through internships, student publications, publishing, media or creative production agencies, project management, or professional communications

- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and project management software
- Comfortable using emerging AI tools to streamline editorial workflows while maintaining high editorial standards and fact-checking rigor
