Senior Editor role at Scholastic’s Storyworks 4-6, based in New York City with in-office expectations in the SoHo area. Responsible for pitching and researching kid-friendly, curriculum-connected articles across long nonfiction, fiction, poetry, and paired texts; write 2-4 articles per issue; manage deadlines and collaborate with photo/art teams to craft visually engaging, age-appropriate content; develop scripts for knowledge-building videos; write and edit lesson plans and digital assets; coordinate with scientists, historians, and fact-checkers to ensure accuracy; and participate in presentations and class visits as needed. Strong writing, editing, storytelling, and ability to work independently within a deadline-driven, collaborative team are essential.
