Job Summary
Science Editor at BJU Press responsible for directing developmental, copy, and production editing to ensure accuracy, clarity, and biblical alignment across K–12 materials; collaborate with the Editorial team, adhere to Chicago Manual of Style standards, manage deadlines, and contribute to process improvements; onboarding may lead to a hybrid work schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Mastery of English grammar and mechanics, including the ability to recognize and repair problems with sentence structure and paragraph development and to identify and correct problems with unity, coherence, logic, and precision
- Proficiency in applying the Chicago Manual of Style
- Acceptable performance on the BJU Press editorial test
- Master’s degree in relevant creative discipline OR Bachelor's degree with 1-2 YOE OR 4+ YOE in a creative discipline OR equivalent demonstrated aptitude
- An applicant for a position in the Bob Jones University group — Bob Jones University, Bob Jones Academy or BJU Press — must be a born-again Christian who has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
