Job Summary
Editor responsible for editing of news packages, VO’s and other projects for broadcast. Must exercise good judgment in editing news stories, work well under pressure, and meet newsroom deadlines. Requires ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays and proficiency with Avid Media Composer or other non-linear editing systems. Additional duties as assigned; role includes compliance checks (drug screen, background and reference verifications) and possessing a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess good judgment for editing news stories
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet newsroom deadlines
- Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
- Must have knowledge and experience working with Avid Media Composer or other non-linear editing systems
- A valid driver’s license is required
- Pre-employment drug screen, background check, employment/education verifications and reference checks may be required
