Job Summary
Commission student and instructor-focused academic textbooks and digital learning resources aligned with market needs and commercial priorities. Demonstrate strong research and analytical skills to identify profitable commissioning opportunities, prioritize growth areas, and track developments in higher education teaching. Manage key stakeholder relationships internally and externally while acting as a product champion for the Economics Textbooks list. Utilize extensive digital and in-person networking, including potential UK and international travel, to source content that supports the strategic direction of the programme.
Required Qualifications
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to interpret financial data
- Excellent networking skills
- Strong publishing knowledge and the ability to quickly develop subject knowledge across a range of areas
- The ability to quickly understand the student and instructor market across a range of territories
- Time management, prioritisation and organisational skills
- Self-motivation and the ability to work on your own initiative
- Superb team-working skills
- The ability to manage a range of key stakeholder relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience of commissioning academic books
- The right to work and live in the United Kingdom
- The ability to make it to our office locations to collaborate as required
- A minimum of 3 days per week in-person time
