Job Summary

Complete three 8-month assignments developing cutting-edge technologies in diagnostic imaging, ultrasound, surgical navigation, software platforms, and patient monitoring. Design and deliver impactful healthcare solutions from concept to production while building core engineering skills through a rigorous advanced technical training curriculum. Strengthen leadership capabilities via structured courses, committee work, and corporate learning experiences under personalized mentorship from technical mentors and assignment leaders. Contribute to the full product development cycle from ideation to post-market, participating in and leading committee activities to drive continuous improvement. Recent college graduate with a Bachelor's degree required, based in the Waukesha, WI area with flexibility to relocate; relocation assistance provided if required for assignments.

Required Qualifications

  • Recent college graduate
  • Bachelor's degree completed by July 2027
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Willingness to be based in the Waukesha, WI area
  • Willingness to relocate to other GE HealthCare sites as needed based on rotation selection
  • Proven technical problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical issues and solutions and influence team decisions
  • Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and adaptability in dynamic environments

Desired Qualifications

  • Preferred majors: Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Biomedical Engineering
  • Computer Science
  • equivalent field with a strong engineering design focus
  • Strong academic performance demonstrated by a GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Prior internship, co-op, research, or project work in areas such as hardware/software/firmware design, digital design, RF/wireless systems, diagnostic imaging, patient monitoring, life support systems, IT, networking, medical informatics, AI, software, or digital development
  • Experience in healthcare or working through a full design cycle in a regulated industry
  • Demonstrated project management skills including working with teams to deliver products, solutions, or prototypes
  • Growth mindset
  • Adaptability, eagerness to learn, and openness to mentorship
  • Demonstrated leadership and community involvement
  • Experience in object-oriented design and languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, C/C++, MATLAB, Perl, UNIX/LINUX
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies, data analytics, or machine learning
  • Knowledge of mechanical or electrical engineering principles, simulation, testing, prototyping, and product development
  • Experience with CAD and simulation tools (e.g., Creo, Ansys, GENESIS); power electronics, embedded systems, and controls
