EDI Integration Software Developer

Job Summary
Design, develop, test, deploy, and support EDI and system-to-system integrations using Microsoft Azure Integration Services, Logic Apps, and Functions. Maintain Azure Service Bus messaging, API integrations, and related cloud components while supporting ANSI X12 transaction standards such as 204, 210, 214, 940, 943, 944, 945, 990, and 997. Monitor production environments to troubleshoot root causes and implement long-term solutions, ensuring high-quality data mapping, transformations, and validation rules. Collaborate with customers, trading partners, and internal teams to gather requirements, participate in Agile sprint planning, and conduct code reviews to enforce best practices. Provide technical mentorship to junior developers and assist in migrating legacy platforms to modern Azure architectures.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ YEARS EXPERIENCE developing and supporting EDI transactions, integrating ERP and transportation management systems, troubleshooting production issues, and building scalable cloud-based integration solutions
- EDI experience
- ONSITE role based out of Indianapolis, IN
- Remote and/or out of state candidates will NOT be considered for this opportunity
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field; equivalent work experience considered
- 10+ years of experience in software development, EDI development, integration development, or related technical roles
- Experience developing and supporting Microsoft Azure Logic Apps and Azure Integration Services
- Experience supporting Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) solutions and industry-standard transaction formats
- Working knowledge of ANSI X12 and EDIFACT transaction sets, message structures, and trading partner implementations
- Experience creating and maintaining EDI maps, transformations, validations, and business rules
- Strong experience with REST APIs, JSON, XML, and data integration technologies
- Experience with C#, .NET, SQL Server, T-SQL, and stored procedures
- Understanding of system integration patterns, message-based architectures, and cloud integration concepts
- Experience troubleshooting and supporting production integration environments
- Familiarity with source control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Azure Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, and API Management
- Experience with ERP, WMS, TMS, or Supply Chain systems
- Experience supporting transportation and logistics integrations
- Experience with managed file transfer (MFT) solutions, AS2, SFTP, and other B2B communication protocols
- Knowledge of EDIFACT and other EDI standards
- Experience with Azure DevOps and Git-based source control
- Experience migrating integrations from Microsoft BizTalk or other legacy integration platforms to Azure
- Understanding of supply chain, logistics, and transportation business processes
