Job Summary
EdHelp Information and Support Student Assistant delivering frontline customer service across Library, IT, Student Finance and Student Administration. Resolve routine queries at first point of contact, triage more complex enquiries, and assist with shelving and library duties. Part-time, on-campus role with evening and weekend shifts; available for a consistent weekly schedule. Requires current UG/PG student status, strong customer service skills, ability to learn IT applications and business systems, and a reliable, team-oriented approach to support students and staff. Start date between Aug and Sept 2026 for a 9-month fixed-term contract.
Required Qualifications
- Current UG/PG student at the University of Edinburgh (or starting in Sept 2026)
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends
- Ability to quickly learn new IT applications and business systems
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Ability to problem solve and be accurate and methodical
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Reliable with excellent time-management skills
