Job Summary
Head Football Coach at Cheltenham High School leads an interscholastic football program in alignment with PIAA regulations and district policies, providing strong leadership, promoting academic achievement, fostering character development, and ensuring a safe, positive experience for all student athletes while building a sustainable year-round program. Reports to the Athletic Director and collaborates with students, parents/guardians, staff, and administration to maintain an education-based athletics environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
- Prior head coaching experience at the high school varsity level is required
- Current clearances as required by state and district policy
- CPR, AED and First Aid certification
- Demonstrated knowledge of football fundamentals, rules and safety protocols
- Familiarity with NCAA eligibility guidelines and the college recruitment process
- Strong organizational communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, parents/guardians, staff, and administration
- Commitment to educational based athletics and year round student athlete development
