EDDA - Dental Assistant

Job Summary
Provide exceptional customer service with an excellent chair-side manner, prioritizing patient experience during procedures. Take direction from doctors and hygienists to assist with all dental procedures, while taking, developing, and mounting accurate radiographs. Review patient charts, log health history, transcribe notes, and clean and sterilize equipment per guidelines. Educate patients on their care, partner with clinical and operations staff to maintain service integrity, and assist front office with scheduling and lab case tracking. Monitor dental supplies, complete daily checklists and huddles, and ensure HIPAA, OSHA, and BBP compliance. This role requires current radiography certification, Dental Assistant certification, and CPR training, with overtime and travel as needed. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
- Current radiography certification
- Dental Assistant certification, as required by state, or ability to become certified
- Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training
- Experience in a professional environment with direct patient contact
- Excellent positive attitude and customer service skills
- Professionalism and integrity in all aspects of the job, including image and both verbal and written communication skills
- Possess exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills, including conflict resolution skills
- Strong organization, planning and analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task and remain calm in a rapidly changing environment
- Computer proficiency and the ability to learn new programs as required
- Overtime required as approved by Operations Leader
- Travel as needed for training and to perform job functions
- Safety procedures and personal protective equipment required to minimize the risks from radiographs and blood-borne pathogens
- Potential of prolonged sitting and standing
Desired Qualifications
- Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Current certification to monitor Nitrous Oxide/Oxygen Analgesia
