Job Summary
Transport patients within the department, to nursing units, and to ancillary departments while providing 1:1 direct observation for patients on suicide precautions. Partner with nursing staff to ensure patient safety and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Maintain familiarity with emergency procedures, legal requirements, and standard nursing procedures while utilizing knowledge of hospital forms and patient identification equipment. Possess strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing tasks.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- BLS for Healthcare Providers certification
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work with people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds
- Ability to organize, set priorities and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
- Working knowledge of medical terminology

- Prior medical experience
