Job Summary
Receive patients by ambulance and triage, assist with ambulatory patients, and set up for procedures. Obtain vitals, apply sterile dressings, manage restraints, immobilize extremities, and transport patients. Perform basic observation skills, report condition changes, and monitor secluded or restrained patients. Assist with bathing, oral care, skin care, grooming, dressing, toileting, and eating. Maintain unit supplies, stock rooms, and keep care areas and equipment clean. Conduct clerical functions to support department operations. Complete ED-specific competency training within 90 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant license in the state of WA
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Completion of ED specific competency-based education and assigned HealthStream modules within 90 days of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of work experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant
- Prior acute care hospital experience
