Job Summary
Sign patients into the emergency department, obtain vital signs, and place patients on cardiac monitors. Perform EKGs, draw blood, and collect specimens while preparing patients for exams and assisting with medical setups. Transport patients to different hospital areas, arrange medical transport, and assist with behavioral health transfers. Compile medical paperwork, clean and stock rooms, and handle telephone requests with confidentiality. Measure and fit patients with orthopedic supplies. Work 7A-7P shifts with a valid NYS driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Proficient in typing
- Basic computer knowledge
- Valid NYS Driver's license
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
- Ability to assist with weights of more than one-hundred (100) pounds
- Fine motor skills
- Visual acuity
- Ability to finger, handle, or feel
- Ability to reach forward with hands and arms
- Ability to sit
- Ability to stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Close vision
